Hello and welcome, fellow readers and writers
Coming soon… The Thirteenth hour
The Thirteenth Hour is a dual-timeline historical fiction novel that blends mystery, romance, and the echoes history leaves behind.
Spanning two defining moments in America's past—the dawn of the American Revolution in 1775 and the closing days of the Vietnam War in 1975—this story follows historian Charlotte Anne West as she uncovers a centuries-old secret hidden within a coastal Massachusetts home. As the past and present intertwine, long-buried sacrifices, forgotten courage, and an impossible love story reveal that some moments in time are never truly lost.

About me
Hello, and welcome! My name is Leah J. Larkin, and I'm a writer who loves crossing genres, though you'll almost always find a thread of romance woven through my stories.
I'm endlessly inspired by the world around me. I absorb sensory details—textures, sounds, scents—and translate them onto the page. My goal is to create stories my readers can see, taste, and feel. I want you to become immersed in the world from the moment you crack the spine, getting lost page after page and chapter after chapter.
When I'm not writing, I'm a small-business owner, antique dealer, and curator. Every day, I have the privilege of holding pieces of history in my hands, objects once loved but long forgotten. I help people rediscover there beauty and give them a new life and a home. There is something deeply moving about preserving the past, and that same fascination naturally found its way into my writing.
My debut novel, The Thirteenth Hour, is inspired by this work. What if, like the objects I work with, the overlooked lives and sacrifices of those who came before us were rediscovered? Every person has a story worth telling.
